Your final grade at the host institution will be automatically conveyed to the registrar at your home institution. Your home institution will decide how/if to award transfer credit for the course and update your student record in Banner or PeopleSoft.
As a rule, grades do not normally transfer. Language Exchange/EMAoL Exchange grades move to your transcript as transfer credit. In order to transfer, most institutions require that you attain a minimum grade of C (2.00) in the course.
Note:
- Contact the registrar at your home institution if you have questions about transfer credit rules and where/how transfer credit is listed on your transcript.
- Calculating credits and GPAs for transfer credits can be a complicated process. The best and most accurate way to confirm information about transfer credits is to contact the Office of the Registrar at your home institution.
- Meet with your advisor to confirm how/if a course will count toward your degree program.
-
Your final grade from the host institution might not be available to your home institution until after the end of your home institution's academic term.
- You cannot request for the host institution to submit grades early (you are responsible for making other arrangements or speaking with your home institution registrar if you need the final grade to graduate on time).
