Meet with your advisor to confirm how/if the course you want to take online from another institution will count toward your degree. Please don't skip this important step.
Note:
-
The Equivalency Finder may help you locate courses at other UNC System institutions that have been approved for transferring to a selected course at your home institution.
- Course equivalencies may change over time or differ by degree program. You should consult with your advisor about specific course equivalencies and degree requirements.
-
Students do have to meet all the requirements of their home (degree-granting) institution in order to graduate.
- These vary, but almost always include 25% of hours in residence and a significant percentage (50+) of the hours in their major at the degree-granting institution.
- Generally, students must earn a C or better to receive transfer credit for a course.
