Because the UNC System will not be requiring students to return to its campuses, and will be following a variety of practices designed to limit student and staff exposure to COVID-19 until mid-August at the earliest, we will not be reactivating any face-to-face proctoring sites before that date. The following changes continue to be in effect:
All forms of exam proctoring services have been suspended.
All Spring 2020 exams and exam appointments have been deleted from UNC Online.
Approved UNCO proctors are prohibited from proctoring any UNC Online exam appointments.
All UNCO proctor licenses have been deactivated.
New proctor applications will not be accepted.
Students and instructors have already been notified of these changes.
As that mid-August date approaches, we will reach out to our proctoring network and convey any future plans or proctoring requirements that may be needed in order to ensure the safety of all parties during this pandemic.
NOTE: The UNC System does not receive funding from face-to-face proctors nor from the WebCam Proctor, Examity. Additionally, the UNC System does not charge UNC System universities a fee to participate in the UNC Online Exam Proctoring Network.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation, and thank you for all that you do for our students.
