Status of Appointments
Appointment status describes the state of the exam appointment in UNC Online, as it relates to the proctor's Scheduling Method, how close the appointment is to the exam window opening, and what action the proctor, student, or instructor have taken with regards to the appointment.
Status Defined:
- Pending Action: (Two Types)
- Proposed Appointments
- Only available if the proctor is using Online-Manual Scheduling Method.
- To learn how to either "Accept" or "Reject" Proposed Appointments, click here.
- Un-Finalized Appointments
- 4 days prior to the opening of the exam window, the appointment's Status switches from "Scheduled" to "Scheduled Available," then "Un-Finalized" on the day of the appointment. To learn more, click here.
- Un-Finalized Appointments should be finalized on the day of the exam appointment and immediately following the exam appointment, To learn more, click here.
- Proposed Appointments
- Scheduled
- For proctors using the Online-Manual Scheduling Method, the appointment status switches from "Proposed" (i.e., Pending Action) to "Scheduled" after the proctor Accepts the Proposed Appointment.
- For proctors using the Online-Automatic Scheduling Method, the appointment status is "Scheduled," as soon as a student schedules an appointment.
- Un-Finalized
- 4 days prior to the opening of the exam window, the appointment's Status switches from "Scheduled" to "Scheduled Available," then "Un-Finalized" on the day of the appointment. To learn more, click here.
- Un-Finalized Appointments should be finalized on the day of the exam appointment and immediately following the exam appointment, To learn more, click here.
- Finalized
- These are "Scheduled" exam appointments, that the proctor has finalized, meaning the exam appointment took place. To learn more, click here.
- Cancelled
- These are appointments that were:
- Rejected by the proctor (if the proctor is using Online-Manual Scheduling Method).
- Cancelled by the proctor, after the appointment was Scheduled.
- Cancelled by the student, after the appointment was either Proposed or Scheduled.
- Cancelled by the instructor, because the exam was deleted.
- These are appointments that were:
- All
- When using this filter to search, the search will yield all of the above.
- Included in the "All" search, will be Proposed Appointments that were Rejected by the proctor (if the proctor is using Online-Manual Scheduling Method).
