Multi-Factor Authentication/Two-Factor Authentication
Some universities require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) (sometimes referred to as two-factor authentication) to access their university's network (i.e., where the online exam is located). MFA is a university-level security measure, requiring the student to log-in with their password and also enter a response, sent to the student's cell phone, in order to verify the student's identity, thereby granting the student access to their university's network.
For proctors, please allow students the use of their cell phone during the MFA process only. Remove the cell phone from the testing area, once the student has successfully logged into their University Network.
