If there are technical issues, during the student's exam appointment, then the proctor should finalize the appointment, according to the type of issue. Technical issues include: computer crashes, computer boots student off, LMS crashes, etc.
If the exam password does not work or is missing then the student will be prevented from taking the exam until the instructor provides the password (in the correct location) in UNC Online.
NOTE: The proctor should finalize the exam appointment as "Student showed up but there were issues." This allows the student to reschedule their appointment.
As part of this type of finalization, proctors should include details regarding the specific issue(s). These details create an “irregularity report” for the instructor to review and so they instructor can take action.
