How can I extend an exam window from a previous semester/summer session?
Faculty can extend an exam window from a previous semester for an individual student or for all students in the course.
Generally, exam windows are extended from a previous semester when a student needs to finish "Incomplete" coursework.
Individual Student - Extending Exam Window From Previous Semester
1. Log into UNC Online
2. Select the "Archives" filter (located at the top of your "My Courses" page)
3. Find the course and exam
4. Select the "Extend Date" icon (located in the "Actions" column of the exam details)
5. A pop-up box will appear - select the "Individual Student"
6. Select the "Extension End Date" and Extension End Time"
7. Important: If the exam is online, remember to extend the exam window via the Learning Management System (Blackboard, Moodle, etc...)
All Students - Extending Exam Window From Previous Semester
1. Log into UNC Online
2. Select the "Archives" filter (located at the top of your "My Courses" page)
3. Find the course and exam
4. Select the "Extend Date" icon (located in the "Actions" column of the exam details)
5. Select the "End Date" and "End Time"
6. Important: If the exam is online, remember to extend the exam window via the Learning Management System (Blackboard, Moodle, etc...)
