Your final grade at the host school will be automatically conveyed to the registrar at your home school.
Your home school will decide how/if to award transfer credit for the course and update your student record in Banner or PeopleSoft. Please contact the Office of the Registrar at your home school if you have questions about transfer credit rules.
Note:
Calculating credits and GPAs for transfer credits can be a complicated process. The best and most accurate way to confirm information about transfer credits is to contact the Office of the Registrar at your home school.
As a rule, grades do not normally transfer (Language Exchange classes are sometimes an exception). Grades move to your transcript as transfer credit. In order to transfer, most schools require that you attain a minimum grade of C (2.00) in the course
1. Elective hours only, no grade
2. Requirement hours only, no grade
3. Course equivalency, no grade
4. Course equivalency with grade, no quality points (not calculated in GPA)
5. Course equivalency with grade and quality points
Numbers 4 and 5 are pretty rare, so as a rule, grades do not normally transfer (Language Exchange classes are sometimes an exception).
