Credit Card Security: Duplicate Transaction & Card Declined
NOTE: Examity only accepts Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
There are a number of reasons this type payment error can occur. For example, payment errors can occur if multiple (duplicate) credit card transactions are made within a short period of time, which can cause the credit card company to temporarily freeze the credit card and decline transactions. Other examples include: if the credit card information is entered incorrectly, if the credit card if over its limit, if the credit card is expired,
Your credit card company has security measures in place to mitigate what they interpret as possible credit card fraud. That means, duplicate transactions are watched closely, such as the type of duplicate transactions that occur when multiple exam appointments are created with Examity and when those transactions occur within a short period of time.
To eliminate having your credit card frozen and your charges declined, separate the creation of exam appointments with Examity by 2-3 hours or use a different credit card for each exam appointment.
