The University of North Carolina Partnership for National Security is a system-wide effort to support our service members, contribute to the U.S. national security mission and grow North Carolina’s defense economy.
The Partnership initiative has three pillars of focus:
- Working with North Carolina-based military partners on quality of life and policy issues and addressing science and technology gaps
- Providing targeted degree programs, research and technical support, subject matter expertise exchange, relevant pre-deployment education courses, internships and fellowships and on-campus resources and efficiencies designed to support service members and their families
- Collaborating with partners across the state to advance the goals of the Partnership
Through targeted degree programs, research priorities and projects, relevant pre-deployment education modules, deployment “reach-back” access, and strengthened on-campus resources and efficiencies designed to support the service member, UNC is a relevant partner with the military and specifically with North Carolina-based military members and their affiliates.
