Do Academic Integrity & Professional Conduct Standards Apply to Exam Appointments?
Yes. Before you can schedule or reschedule each exam appointment, you are required to acknowledge and agree to the following academic integrity and professional conduct statements:
- I acknowledge that I am required to follow the academic integrity and conduct policies of the home institution where I am enrolled.
- I acknowledge the same academic integrity standards apply to online courses and proctored exams as traditional campus courses.
- I acknowledge that, as a student utilizing online education through the UNC System, I am expected to maintain high standards of academic honesty and integrity and to conduct myself in a professional manner.
- I acknowledge that failure to comply with the Academic Integrity and Conduct Policies of UNC Online and the institution(s) may be grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including removal from access to the UNC Online Proctoring System.

Please Be Aware: The academic integrity and conduct policies follow the home institution of the student. UNC Online (UNCO) does not have separate academic integrity and conduct policies. However, under the authority of the MoU, signed by all the UNC System Provosts, UNCO may limit or suspend access to UNCO proctoring services to any student who causes a substantial disruption, or who poses a threat to the safety of others in the proctoring community while participating in UNCO proctoring. UNCO shall report any such limitation or suspension to the student’s home institution.
