If There is an Exam Emergency
If there is a technical issue with the exam (e.g., exam password isn't working, the exam stops working, or your location has a power outage) please do the following:
- Finalize the exam as completed with issues and include information regarding the issue.
- Inform the student they should contact their instructor directly. It is up to the instructor to determine if the student should reschedule their exam.
The instructor's emergency contact information is included on the proctor instruction sheet. You must log into UNC Online to download the proctor instruction sheet from your UNC Online account.

NOTE: There is not a 24 hour support line for the exam proctoring network. Tickets will be answered as soon as a UNC Online staff member is available, typically within 24 hours. Typically, inquiries submitted on weekends or holidays are answered on the next business day.
