Typically, registration occurs for Fall between April and August, Spring between November and January, and Summer between March and May. During these months check back (courses.northcarolina.edu) for new course listings.
-Campuses do not post all of their online courses on UNC Online.
-The registration window must be open at the host campus and your home campus to complete the registration process.
-Prior to registering for a course, meet with your advisor to confirm how/if the course will count toward your program and discuss transfer credit guidelines. Please don't skip this important step.
-Students do have to meet all the requirements of their home (degree-granting) institution in order to graduate. These vary, but almost always include 25% of hours in residence and a significant percentage (50+) of the hours in their major at the degree-granting institution.
-Generally, students must earn a C or better to receive transfer credit for a course.
-You must register for courses offered by your home campus through your home campus registration process.
