Syllabus TEMPLATE for Proctoring
Instructors are encouraged to copy and paste the below proctoring information into your syllabus.
The academic integrity and conduct policies follow the home institution of the student. UNC Online (UNCO) does not have separate academic integrity and conduct policies. However, under the authority of the MoU, signed by all the UNC System Provosts, UNCO may limit or suspend access to UNCO proctoring services to any student who causes a substantial disruption, or who poses a threat to the safety of others in the proctoring community while participating in UNCO proctoring. UNCO shall report any such limitation or suspension to the student’s home institution.
University academic integrity and conduct policies apply to proctored exams. Students can review the univeristy’s academic integrity policy by visiting [INSERT YOUR CAMPUS’ LINK HERE].

If a proctor charges a fee, students are responsible for paying the fee. Please note: Proctors fees have limitations per UNC Online's Licensing Agreement.
NOTE: When students register for UNC Online courses, an alert about proctoring fees is posted by the campus - this is a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requirement. For example, ECU students see the following message when they register for UNC Online courses: There may be additional fees associated with Distance Education courses for verification of student identity for proctored examinations.
